Why do I need an MOT?

Any vehicle over 3 years old is required to have an annual safety check, which is called an MOT test (Ministry of Transport test). This test checks that the vehicle meets the standard legal safety levels.

At Reids Garage in Paisley, we have a team of approved Class 4 & 7 MOT testers who carry out a series of checks on your vehicle, looking inside, outside, under the bonnet and underneath the vehicle. If your vehicle passes all the checks, we can issue a pass certificate. There may also be “advisory” items, which means that you need to keep an eye on them. Unfortunately, not all vehicles pass the MOT test, but thankfully, we can carry out any repairs that are required and then retest your vehicle and get you safely back on the road.

Took my Dodge Ram into Reids for an MOT and some repair work, despite some delays due to the size of the vehicle and needing the larger ramp, the repairs were done to a very high standard, great wheel alignment performed and really good value for money. Wouldn't hesitate to use them again. Cheers guys!

MOT and service done today. Top class service and nice guys to deal with. I had a bad experience at a previous garage which left me nervous with dealing with anything car related but the guys here are friendly and I felt super comfortable. Would 100% use again! Very well priced too 🙂
